The City of Cockburn held its first major event to celebrate its 30th Anniversary on August 18th. About one hundred people, including current Family Day Care Providers and staff, as well as some Parent users and previous Care Providers joined the celebration.

Dr Margaret Sims, Associate Professor, from Edith Cowan University was the guest speaker on the evening and spoke about her research on early brain development and the stress levels of young children in Childcare.

Three current Care Providers, who between them have provided over 64 years of care, assisted the previous Child Care Services Manager, June Barton, to cut the anniversary cake.

The current Child Care Services Manager, Sandra Taylor, thanked Care Providers and staff for their commitment to quality care.
